Mission and Objectives

 Mission

The Mission of the NCP “Council of Power Producers” is to create a favorable investment climate in the energy sector.

Objects of the Partnership:

The main objects of the Partnership are:

·         to promote the establishment of transparent working mechanisms of the electricity and power market;

·         to promote the increasing competitiveness and investment attractiveness of the industry;

·         to form a common position of the generators for interacting with the authorities of all levels, infrastructural, noncommercial and public organizations and associations, and other entities.

Interaction with the Partnership Members:

• assistance in developing economic, industrial, scientific and technical communications between the Members of Partnership;

• formation of an integrated position of the Partnership Members concerning developing legal standard acts, projects and the programs, aimed at the progress of the electric and power sector;

• enhancing of power safety and technological reliability of production capacities of the Partnership Members.

Interaction with the Government:

• participation in developing and improving legal standard acts, regulating the electric and power industry; 

• participation in working out and monitoring the implementation of state programs, providing and defining the main directions of development of the electric and power sector;

• participation in advisory bodies, working groups and the expert councils, affecting the industry;

• representation and protection of the Partnership Members rights at the legislative and executive power bodies of all levels.

Interaction with noncommercial and public organizations:

• participation in developing and modification of the documents, regulating the purchase and sale of electric energy, capacity and other goods, which circulate in the wholesale and retail markets;

• representation and protection of interests of the Partnership Members noncommercial and public organizations;

• collaboration with foreign companies and organizations to develop  the electricity and power sector and international economic relations in the electricity and power field.

Informational and analytical support of the Partnership Members:

• analysis of trends in macroeconomics from the perspective of the industry and forecasting the consumption of electricity and capacity;

• analysis of technical, financial and economic indicators of the Partnership  Members activity, forming a benchmarking system;

• functioning analysis of the wholesale and retail markets of electric energy and capacity;

• rapid dissemination of information, which can influence the activities of The Partnership Members;

Research and educational activities:

• development and realization of science and technology policy

• participation in developing and implementing industry-leading standards and technical regulations;

 • development of scientific cooperation in the electricity and related industries;

•  conferences, symposia, workshops, lectures, competitions, seminars and other activities organization aimed at improving the skills of management and technical staff members of the Partnership.
